Deck Design Consultation and Creation of Plans

If building a deck is a must for your home but your budget is not accepting the cost of hiring a deck professional.  Or if you would like to Do-It-Yourself.  Zdecks can help.  For the record, we do recommend you use a Austin area professional deck builder.  Many homeowners begin projects on their own and realize about half way through that they have bitten off more than they can chew.  If you feel that you would like to take on a deck project yourself please follow the simple steps below. 

1. Call 512-745-0694 to set an appointment with our designer.

2. At our meeting we will discuss the pros and cons of doing it yourself.  Then we will measure and shoot grade of the area, discuss design ideas and finish up with rough drawing ideas.

3.  Final drawings will include full 3D, Elevation, and detailed framing views.  All city specifications and footing details will also be provided.

COST:

1. Initial consultation will be $200.00 for up to 2 hrs.

2. All design work will be charged at $100.00 per hr. (hours estimated before work begins)

*Once drawings are completed and signed they belong to the homeowner and Zdecks is not responsible for work performed.

Drawings will include recommendations based on Texas standards for:

-Framing material Type

-Connections

-Material breakdown

-Beam Spans

-Joist spans

-Concrete Footing Recommendation

-All specs ready to turn in to HOA

*City permit will require other information

*Homeowner will be require to sign a waver stating that Zdecks is hired as a designer only for deck design.  Zdecks is selling design services only.  Homeowner will need to hire an engineer if one is required.
